Outstanding Women Professionals and Entrepreneurs Award 2008 - Invitation of Nomination

 

The Chartered Management Institute (Hong Kong Branch) invites members to submit nominations for the "4th Outstanding Women Professionals and Entrepreneurs Award 2008".  The Award is organised by the Hong Kong Women Professionals and Entrepreneurs Association ("HKWPEA"). The media sponsor and partner are COSMOPOLITAN and Hong Kong Economic Times respectively.

 

The Award will honour and celebrate six women of exceptional qualities in the following two categories:

 

(1) Outstanding Women Professionals

(2) Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs

 

The Awardees will be shining models as business leaders or professionals with impeccable personal integrity and ethics. The Judging Panel includes prominent individuals listed below:

 

* Professor Andrew Chan, Director of EMBA Programme , CUHK

* The Hon. Bernard Chan, Executive Council Member and Legislative Council

* Professor John Leong, President, Open University of Hong Kong

* The Hon. Mrs Sophie Leung Lau Yau-fun, Deputy of National People's Congress, Legislative Councillor

* Professor Lung Ying-tai, Visiting Professor, HKU

* Dr Rosanna Wong, CPPCC National Committee Member, Executive Director, Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups

 

Members are invited to submit nominations on or before the deadline of 15 April 2008 directly to the HKWPEA.  Please visit www.hkwpea.org for details of the award criteria, eligibility, nomination and selection processes, and the Nomination Form.  

 

For women members who would like to be nominated by the CMIHK, please send a covering letter with your completed Nomination Form to the Secretariat on or before 3 April 2008.  

Applications for nomination will be vetted by a committee chaired by the Vice-Chairman of CMIHK according to the following criteria:
  • An outstanding track record in management and societal contributions with demonstration of professionalism in management, integrity and ethics, and
  • Fellow or Member with at least 3 years of fee-paying membership with CMI. 
  • Applications will be finally approved by the Executive Council for endorsement. CMIHK reserves the final right of decision.

19 July 2007 The appointment of Mr. Chan Cho-chak, John GBS JP CCMI and Brigadier Christopher Hammerbeck, CB CBE as Honorary Advisers of The Chartered Management Institute (Hong Kong Branch).
29 April 2006 The National Institute of Accountants of Australia (NIA) invited the Branch to attend its annual dinner party on 29 April 2006 . The Chairman Mr George MOK represented the Branch to attend the dinner party.
27 February 2006 Gaugzhou Overseas Friendship Liaison Association invited the Branch to attend its annual spring dinner party at City Hall on 27 February 2006 , and the Chairman Mr George Mok, the Treasurer Mr Joseph Tsang and the Social Committee Chairman Mr Timothy Wong represented the Branch to attend the dinner party.
