Message to Members

Sichuan earthquake

Dear members,

The Branch would like to express our deepest sympathy and concern to the devastated victims of the Sichuan earthquake, who had lost their lives, homes, relatives, and means of living due to the catastrophe on May 12. The disaster had already caused the lives of 20,000 and affected the livelihood of more than 10 million people.

While rescue and relief operations were undergoing rapidly, we hope that survivor could be assisted to resume their normal life the soonest possible.  As such, we would like to call for our members to make a contribution.

Members may make use of the following Home Affairs Department donation channels to make their financial contribution towards the survivors:

  The Public Enquiries Services Centres of the 18 District Offices, and Post Offices.  Members are encouraged to make their donations by cheques. They should be made payable to "The Secretary for Home Affairs Incorporated - Donations".  A receipt will be issued.

Cash donations can be paid to HSBC account number 502-256803-001.

All donations will be passed to five relief organizations, namely Hong Kong Red Cross, World Vision Hong Kong, Oxfam Hong Kong, United Nations Children’s Fund, and The Salvation Army.

Members are also welcome to make donation through the Branch for specific objective.
